The Airport Operations Centre (AOC) is the one central point on the Airport where all operational data and communications necessary for the day-to-day management and safe and efficient co-ordination of Airside, Landside and Terminal activities will focus.

There are three separate, but interrelated, aspects of the development of the Airport Operations Centre:

• Construction. This includes interior design and construction of the primary and backup AOC room, interior walls, interior lighting, and wall coverings. In addition, construction of AOC Controller Consoles, Duty Manager Console, and the GAS/FIDS Console is included.

• Equipment acquisition: This includes the purchase, installation and testing of all TAMS terminals for the AOC, VHF radios, intercom equipment and controls, and other equipment listed below under major system components. Desks, chairs, tables, and small office equipment will also be specified. For completeness of this description, some of the equipment described includes equipment that will be provided under separate contracts.

• Operating/Operational Procedures. This includes the development of AOC procedures for operating the various equipment and systems provided by the AOC Sub-system Contractor. This also includes generation of operational procedures and checklists.
